We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us for support. This may include: name, email address, date of birth (for age verification), cannabis usage data you choose to log, and device and usage information collected automatically.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; verify your age and eligibility (18+ UK medical cannabis patients only); send you technical notices and support messages; and analyse usage patterns to improve the app experience. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your cannabis usage data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Supabase as our database provider, which is SOC 2 Type II certified.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@budify.org. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share aggregated, anonymised data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.
7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict processing; data portability; and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@budify.org.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
